Site C118. Amazing to have the senior discount and stay here in Glacier for a week for $90. There is not much of a view from this site - especially compared to C108 - but it's good size and quiet and has wild berries in the summer. Plenty big enough for our 24 ft trailer and pickup truck, with some room to spare. Mostly level. Shortcut path to the Visitor Center/shuttles from the campground - be sure to look for it.Federal campground, no hookups. Several water spigots around the loop to fill up jugs. Single lane, single dump station on the way out.

Great level site with plenty of sun (RV has solar panels).

Beautiful, but cold. Super friendly rangers around.

We had long time reservations for a spot at St. Marys in mid-August 2019 for four nights. We had a small camper but had always planned on using a tent allowing us to include our daughter. When we arrived and were checking in we were informed at the gate that due to bear activity we would not be allowed to use our tent and all campers had to have hard sided campers or would have to go elsewhere (mind you everything else anywhere near the park was completely full). We crammed into our camper and the back of our car, but were constantly reminded by visiting rangers of the ban on any equipment outside our trailer (we never saw any bear activity anywhere close to us). Lots of other campers had far worse problems than us and we saw numerous families relegated to camping in their cars or mini-vans. We understand that Glacier NP is a wilderness experience and bears are a part of that. What concerns us is the lack of communication of the issue or the restrictions until we arrived, or the lack of helpfulness in arranging other facilities. A suggestion might be to copy the plan at Lake Louise In Banff NP where non-hardsided are assigned to an area away from bear activity. Regardless, we felt the lack of notice or communication until we arrived was a problem that needs to be addressed.
