Quiet campground, exactly as described. Friendly staff/hosts. Nice for moto-camping. Conveniently close to West Glacier, but far enough away from the built-up areas to feel secluded. Some very quiet walking trails are nearby off the Inside North Fork road, which is drivable (suv, dual sport/adv) for about 10 miles directly from the campground gate.

Great place to stay. Fun for kids. Beautiful trees. Close to the lake. Close to ice cream.

Fantastic clean campground. A lot of dust due to the gravel road and campsites. The bear rules are very inconsistent. The Rangers were not consistent. In the last 2 days we were checked 4 times by rangers (packing guns and bullet proof vests) . It should be noted we are rules followers and senior citizens. Who knew bug repellent can’t be left out or cardboard boxes in a clean bag were illegal! Glacier needs better written rules so the customers and the enforcement officers can be on the same page..

Site B51 was essentially unusable for even our small truck camper. The site is shaped like an upside down V - it's a steep hill with a very short top to park on. And the small top section where you could maybe park slants 5-7 degrees side-to-side into the road. After 45 minutes of trying (including using all 16 of our leveling blocks), the closest to level we could get was 4 degrees off side-to-side and 4 degrees off front-to-back. It felt extremely unsafe to park like that, so we decided to leave and find a spot in Apgar Campground.

This was all extra frustrating because every other site in B loop looked fairly level. But this site was impossible. After 2 years of full time RVing and staying in hundreds of campgrounds and off-grid boondocking sites, this was the worst site we've ever seen. Hopefully NPS can fix it, because we were lucky enough to find a FCFS site in Apgar. If we hadn't, I'm not sure what we would've done since we'd been planning to stay in Fishcreek for 6 full months.

Beautiful campground. You are close the McDonald lake, making it easy to get over to that area for hikes and time on the lake. The Road to the Sun was only open up to Avalanche Lake when we were there (right after memorial day), so this campground made it very accessible to everything that was open. The John's Loop trail is a great easy hike, as it the Trail of the Cedars, which connects to Avalanche Lake hike (a more moderate hike).
