Our family of 5 really enjoyed this campground. Loop A was nice & quiet and had warm-ish showers and close access to Lake McDonald for a quick dip. It felt peaceful and safe here. A great experience; our favorite campground we experienced (of 3) in Glacier.

Very much appreciated! In mid-August 2024 I spent 9 nights in Fishcreek campground, Loop A site A27. A Beautiful base for my hiking excursions whether by shuttle from Apgar, or direct drive and parking at Logan Pass or Many Glacier. The flush toilets and showers and lake all within 100 steps of the tent site made it good for the relatively long tent stay. Compliments to the rangers and whoever did the maintenance of the restroom and showers, and also recognition that much of the cleanliness of the restrooms and showers. Most campers were also good about keeping things fairly clean, but is challenging to do so in a camping venue.... but Thank You to most of the campers that were conscientious. Text connectivity was generally there but sending pictures was almost never supported. A truly wonderful experience!! Thank You to all USA GNP employees, volunteers, and courteous fellow campers!!!!

Wonderful for me in A27 for my Toyota Corolla and cot tent. I was there for 8 days, doing major hikes on three of the days and having recovery days in between. I drove into nearby towns for laundry. The two minute walk to the Lake McDonald picnic/beach area was fantastic and I went "swimming" on three different hot days. I had trees and the picnic table to tie off to for my over-tent rain tarp. The picnic table and site was clean. The showers and restroom areas were cleaned at least once per day, but cleanliness at any moment was subject to the members of the public that got there just before I did, but most people were respectful .... I'd say 80% of my entries into the building it was clean.... only so much the Forest Service can be do to keep it clean ... mostly dependent on us, the public! On days I was hiking, I either drove and parked my car at the Apgar Visitors' Center shuttle stop to catch the first 7AM shuttle to Logan Pass or I drove the three hours to many Glacier trailhead. Thank you to the Forest Service and the US and State Governments for keeping this type of wonderful inexpensive option open to those that work to be lucky enough to get a reservation.

Great campground for small camper or tents. Bathrooms were clean and well maintained throughout our 5 night stay. Restroom building had a really nice dish washing station built in. Easy access to the picnic area along Lake McDonald and trail access to the Rocky Point nature trail. Rangers were present often and very helpful with questions/concerns. Sites are spaced out enough that we didn't feel on-top of our neighbors.

The campground is clean, and beautiful! We appreciated the Rangers walk through the camp area on a regular basis, and their knowledge of the park, and helpful attitude! We were surprised to find the odd, three different times during the day when the RV generator can be used. We would prefer the usual time period used in RV campgrounds, of 8am to 10pm. NOTE: We understand how important it is to recycle, and appreciate that a recycling bin was provided. We were however, disappointed in not being able to recycling all metals, glass, and plastic in the bins provided.

We absolutely loved our stay here. Loop A has stairs that take you straight to Lake McDonald, the campground was really clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. I loved being able to reserve this year rather than worrying about FCFS.
