Nice spots for tents. Quiet and peaceful campground. Clean restrooms and showers. Will come again if in the area.

We camped at the campground for 3 days in August, the camp ground and its amenities were very well maintained. We did have some cell reception as well. The campground is situated at Lake McDonald which is easily accessible from most campsites. There was a fire ban in effect so it is good to check the NPS page before traveling here and be prepared accordingly. A 9 mile stretch of the going-to-the-sun road was under construction and made for quite a bumpy ride while exploring the rest of the park. The campground is very close to Apgar village where you can get food, groceries, ice cream and coffee. You can also rent kayaks and paddleboards. It is also very close to the west glacier entrance and there a lot of shops and a gas station right outside.

Loooved staying here. I was worried about our loop d camp site since we have a long wheel base vehicle (Yukon xl) and our pop up camper was about 22ft but we made it just fine. And we had plenty of space at our site for our daughters little car for the second space. Bathrooms were clean. Showers were super nice (roll the faucet till it stops and you will have a better chance of getting hot water) make sure to wear flip flops (sanitary). BEAUTIFUL camp site. It is always sooo nice staying inside the park. Stayed for 10 days and wish we had stayed longer. Planning a trip for next year.

We also had great service in group site D (T-Mobile) but not in the other areas of the campground

We loved our stay in this campground! The site was not super big or private, but the beautiful lake is a few steps away, the restrooms are clean and the location is just awesome. Would stay here again for sure!
The coverage was spotty, at the amphitheater in loop A we could get partial connection, better during the morning.
The showers where in loop A, but cold if you go on popular hours.
