This is a beautiful campground, and we had a wonderful stay. The size and privacy of the sites varies widely though. This is a smaller site, and it is right across from a path to the lake, so there is more foot and vehicle traffic - people often drove others to the lake and dropped them off at the trail. As someone else pointed out, one neighbors fire pit is pretty close to the tent set up location. We lucked out that no one had a fire in it while we were there.

We only stayed in here for the night but overall pleased with the facilities (shower and bathroom).

We stayed in Loop C. The campground was beautiful and quiet and we were very close to the lake. Bathrooms were clean and convenient to get to.

Too many close campfires smoked me out. How about making the C loop campfire free? This is second hand smoke doing damage to the lungs. One fire ring was 10 ft away from my tent platform...it was very difficult to get comfortable at night being inundated with smoke. I understand that you have crammed sites in to accommodate more folks but in such close quarters fires are dangerous. Besides the smoke I was concerned about flying sparks.

We tent camped in site C114. The views in the park are truly gorgeous and you arrive near Apgar Village which is a must stop for shopping and definitely ice cream...and more amazing views of Lake MacDonald.
Pros: Site is right across from the trail down to the lake and the start of Rocky Point trail, all were gorgeous and great to be near. We were a short distance from the bathrooms and a bear proof dumpster. Restrooms were flush with a save water feature which was environment friendly. Park rangers walk the campground often looking for violations, especially food left out attracting animals. Message board at entrance of each loop is very informative and appreciated as we used it for weather.
Cons: Our site was small, so small we had to move our picnic table into the drive area. We have a 14x9 tent and did manage to fit it in, but noticed that many of the sites are extremely small and very close to each other. The fire pit does not have a grate - not really a con, considering burnt on food would attract bears - but just an fyi. Restrooms do not have soap, again, not really a con, just would have been nice if it were mentioned in reservations or an email. Cell service is minimal if at all, but hey, put the phone down and go for a walk, you won't be disappointed!

Would definitely recommend this campground and would most definitely stay here again!
