Loved the campsite and park. C121 was great for tent. Very spacious site. Would not be ideal for a camper or vehicle camping as parking is at incline. Tmobile cell service worked enough for calls and texts but not browsing.

The sites were very spacious and isolated. No problem arranging our 32' trailer into multiple sites. The dump station was clean and adequate prepped. The rangers were very cautious and well informed. The camp host was very attentive and clear about expectations. The bathrooms were clean and well stocked. Overall, out 7 day stay in the park was outstanding. There were many reserved sites that went unused because of people abusing the reservation system. Overheard one person explain how they had several reservations which provided them flexibility and for which they had no intention to use. So sad.

1st nite a little noisy, but overall great experience.

This campground was incredibly beautiful tucked away in the trees. Check in/out was easy and well organized. Access to Lake MacDonald was a very easy walk from our site (C121), which allowed us to cool off during the unseasonably hot weather we experienced. The campground is far enough from the main park roads that there is no traffic noise at any time of day, other than the other campers sharing the space.
Rather than setting up a tent, we choose to sleep in the bed of our truck with a mattress which is set up as our mobile home on wheels. Just like many others have sleeper vans or small pull behind trailers. Our biggest complaint is that we were unaware at how extreme of a slope we had to park on (Site C121), making our sleeping situation less than ideal. We measured a 15 inch vertical drop from where we could park our front tires to our back tires, a slope that not even leveling blocks can overcome. We understand that the website and campsites are set up based on the long history of tent camping, but as more people are adopting truck/van/trailer camping it would be nice to, at a minimum, update the reservation website with descriptions of the parking situation of each campsite so we know what to expect upon arrival.
Additionally, we found that the bathrooms in loop C didn't have any soap (or even a dispenser) for the 3 days we were there. Soap is important for hand hygiene, especially in the current state of Covid.
