Love this campground. Much quieter and more private than Apgar. Clean campsites and bathrooms, sufficient water faucets around the campground, and the coolest amphitheater in the Park. For newbies, two notes: the water faucets are non-threaded so do not expect to fill trailers in the campground (the dump station does have potable water), and the listed maximum site lengths are not to be believed. The Park has redone their descriptions to say the max vehicle length is total vehicle plus trailer plus any other towed equipment. Our site was listed as maximum 24 feet. Our trailer is 25', our total vehicle length is 45', and we had absolutely no problems getting in the site. Same with all the other sites in our party.

Our site #B89 was shady, level, and spacious enough for our 30' TT. Despite being right next to the access road, our site was quiet and felt private. We could hear Fish Creek burbling in the background. We enjoyed two of the ranger talks at the amphitheater. With daytime highs above 95F, we would have appreciated extended generator hours in the evening. Alas, we were stuck hurrying back to camp at 5 pm for 2 hours of A/C. We made it work.

Very easy to pull in and camp for the night (in our tent). No issues

It’s a big campground but sites feel pretty private. Showers are only in the Loop A - there is no parking allowed near the facilities so you have to walk there. My site was spacious but located above the main road so could hear the cars going back and forth all day. The host checking me in (he was from the Loop A) was super nice and answered all my questions (there was a bear alert in place and I was wondering if I can car camp safely with my food in the vehicle).

My site had a disappearing one bar of reception (Verizon).
