The road going through loop A is so narrow its scary. We had to move to site C108. We could not get the camper level. I recommend that recreation.gov have a better cancellation policy. The way it is now there are too many no shows. With the situation we had in Site C108 it would have been nice to have the option to move to another spot. One third of the sites were empty.

Very Poorly managed park. Rangers are not helpful or knowledgeable. I was issued a backcountry permit for a closed trail with no way to refund. We left the park a day early due to how badly the entire park is managed.

Ranger Duane at the check-in station was extremely helpful, funny and a great guy. We tent camped in site A30 which was very spacious, relatively spaced apart from the nearby sites and we could hear the creek constantly babbling at the bottom of a forested ravine. The trees surrounding the site were so tall and dense that we didn't have to worry about putting up a canopy to shield against the sun. We were a very short walk from the bathrooms and showers that were kept clean and were rarely very busy. We were also fortunate to have very little rain during our 4 day stay as well. Close by, Apgar village was a great place to hang out and replenish supplies, grab a meal, ice cream, and gifts. You can also rent kayaks, canoes, or motorboats there to go out on the lake and hunt for eagle's nests along the shoreline. The scenery, waterfalls, and wildlife on the hikes were stunning. Enjoy your stay.
