Camp hosts were very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Showers are only located in area A- makes no sense that there are no other showers. Not too mention, out of 4 showers, at most 2 were working. One day, there was only 1 working for the entire campground. And if its a shower for the entire campground- where exactly are we supposed to park?? I asked a person camping in the loop and they were kind enough to let us park there too shower. Ridiculous set up. Were paying the same amount- with less convierte amenities. Showed had lost of hair and debris in them. Being that 2 worked, they could have been cleaned more regularly.

Camping site was good, however Shower should be available in other loops.

Not much at the campground and couldn't even find an easy way to get down to the lake. They have a partial bike trail to Apgar Village which is nice but too far for the trail that is setupl. Maybe if it was a better, complete trail it might work. Campsites are a little squished together. But shade of trees is nice and nice amphitheater.

I loved the location of this campground. We spent a lot of time out and about exploring trails and the area. Just minutes from the road to the sun. Our campsite was smaller than most, but luckily we had small tents. Close to the bathrooms. We had noisy neighbors which kept us up quite late and after quite time. Bear bins close to our campsite, but neighbors next to it left no room for anyone else to use it filling it with their cooler and bins full of stuff.Overall, I would come back but stay at a site closer to Lake McDonald.

Beautiful campground nestled between tall trees. Be prepared for lots of mosquito bites. Short drive to the Apgar visitor center/village as well as west glacier and around 30 minutes to Avalanche.
