What a gorgeous area! So many waterfalls! The Lower Falls close to the campground are easily accessible and simply spectacular; the trail to the Upper Falls area is family friendly. Lots of places to explore nearby. My only complaint was with the reservation system. We were hoping to find a basecamp spot for 5 straight days - willing to move if necessary. It appeared the campground was nearly full, and even though at the end of the season, I was scrambling to find a spot. Actually, there was hardly anyone there. All the sites were marked "reserved" but few showed up. I can't imagine there would be so many no-shows. We ended up with a site on the upper loop where no matter where we sat, our main view was of the restroom.

The reservation process and explanation of sights is great. I could be noted that water is available by a hand pump for containers. The reservation process for parking at the middle or upper falls, after your campground reservation is difficult without any phone service to apply for them. More parking needs to be available for these specific locations.
The road getting to the campground from the West is poor with a dirt section for about 2 miles, with many dangerous humps in the paved sections. The road from the East is really poor.
On our specific weekend, the camp host was not there. There was an unruly group partying with music and yelling till 3am. I left in the middle of the night to contact the Sheriff after a confrontation with the shitbags. 10+ miles for cell service and no show from the Sheriff. Contacted park staff the next morning who were unable to boot out the offenders and didn't do anything about the disturbance that continued again the next night. I was able to contact the Sheriff finally during the day who spoke to the group but stated he didn't have the authority to boot the offenders either? I call BS on that one since there were multiple sites who complained. Overall the sight was in a great location, just poor supervision of offending campers who should have been booted on day 1. It shouldn't come to physical altercations before enforcement is done. Boondock locations need a camp host or a park ranger with the authority to remove shitbags ruining the weekend for everyone else.

Wonderful experience. Nice size camp ground and space provided. Restrooms located through out the grounds. Would recommend to everyone! Stairs down to water for those needing them.
