Beautiful and spacious campsites! Lots of room for tents. The sites are decently far from each other, too, so it feels like there is good privacy.I'm not sure why it says 1 car only, because there is plenty of room for at least two cars in the parking spot. There is no cell service anywhere at the campground, which is not surprising. It's pretty remote.

Our absolutely FAVORITE park campground. The campground itself is a destination. The lower falls campground has a number of hiking and meandering trails around it with the big to-do being within minutes of the campsite!!! The falls are breathtaking. Both my young teens jumped in to the fridges waters - crystal clear and memorable. The facilities were minimal but with the activities, we never felt we were missing out on any needs. Fresh potable water gave us a source for drinking and food prep and clean up. The restrooms were a bit stinky, but its the usual set up. Now, what makes this place stand out are the natural amenities! So many trail access points and the upper falls river was calm in late August so we could play along the edge and even hike up along the river. We skipped rocks and were mesmerized by the smooth and unique riverbed carved out by the rushing water over centuries. Totally try to stay in the lower falls loop - it has much easier access to the river and you can even hear it as you drift off to sleep at night!

Falls are beautiful, campsites are clean and have plenty of space. Outhouses really smell bad.

Very nice spot with access to 3 stunning waterfalls and cascades.Unfortunately the pit toilets were less stunning and not cleaned.

Great campground, large spots,we put 3 tents in this one, plenty of space between the other sites, very quiet at night, short walk to the river and waterfall, hope to be back next year!

Campsites were spacious, and bathrooms were clean. We went for two nights during the week and it was calm. We were hoping to play in the water but the river is too fast this time of year. Locals said it’s best to come end of summer when you can walk out to the middle of the river. The trail to the falls were amazingly kept. It can be a little tricky getting down to the falls, but my 5 year old made it. We were hoping to drive the full route of NF 90 and make it to Trout Lake, but the pot holes were too much. We have a high clearance vehicle, but decided not to drive hours of potholes and didn’t want to drive the full distance to see if the road improved. Ape caves, and the Trail of Two forests near St. Helens on NF 8303 are great places to check out. My daughter loved climbing through the lava tube. The Lone Fir Resort in Cougar has excellent Huckleberry ice cream and is about an hour away from the campsite. Cougar is also the closest gas so if you want to drive some back roads, gas up. :)
