Being along the Cispus River was wonderful! Small campsite with barely enough room for two tents but it was still a great time. A perfect campsite if youre planning a trip to Mount St. Helens!

Bridge was out on the main road and could not get to campground. Tried another road and there was a locked gate. I would have tried a few other ways, but there is no cell phone coverage for maps. Did not know I would need a forest service paper map ahead of time, but it is a good idea.

Campground was clean, many of the sites were large and offered privacy

Clean, gorgeous, will return. 4 nights in 4 connecting sites for our reunion. All ages had fun and agreed to make it a regular camping spot. Birdsong, shady sites, water play, and beautiful trail loop to hike. We were so impressed with the low amount of bugs/mosquitos. Thank you to the camp hosts!

We went on Monday and left on Friday so missed weekend traffic problems. The park was nearly empty and very quiet. We loved the trails and exploring the local area.

Host was very friendly and helpful. Facilities were clean and well kept.

It was very beautiful but we had to take a detour to the campground which added an extra 1 hour drive time. It was definitely worth it bathrooms were clean and the most beautiful environment.

We had a wonderful experience at Iron Creek and cant wait to come back. Even during a busy holiday weekend the campground was quiet at night, and we could faintly hear the river from our site. Our site was small and barely fit two tents, but set back nicely for privacy. We strolled around the campground and found great sites almost everywhere. I wouldnt recommend A loop - the area is recovering after the fire and felt desolate compared to the rest of the gorgeous campground.

Our site was perfect, close to the pit toilet which was the nicest one I think Ive seen. The camp hosts were on top of taking care of it. We had a great time and plan to book here again when we come back to the area.

Weve been visiting Iron Creek & the National Forest for years. We often go over the 4th of July to get our dogs away from fireworks. Its become popular in the past few years, but it still serves the purpose. FS road 25 was closed this time but the forest service office had put out printed directions for the detour even though the office itself was closed because so many visitors were new to the area. Very thoughtful, thank you to the rangers!

Getting to Iron Creek was a pain due to road closures but the park itself is very nice. The hosts are friendly, the hikes are easy and well-maintained. The vault toilets were not as smelly as some of the other places we've been. They were regularly maintained.

I totally wouldve given this campground a 5 star rating but there was no where to pay other than a self pay station that was cash only theres nothing anywhere when booking its cash only. So I drove around looking for the hosts house and couldnt find it. I waited and waited and waited for the ranger or a host to come by but it didnt happen till 10pm and all we got asked was you good on firewood? We also booked 6/27 and it wouldnt let us book 6/28 because it was listed as first come first serve and when we got there our spot was booked. We drove 4 hours to spend less than 24 hours there. I hope there is some improvement on that for the next time we return. We will be returning as we found it was a very quiet camp and we were able to bring our dog. We could hear the river from our site and it was really lovely! Its now a tradition we go back yearly just because of it being such a good hidden gem!

Excellent dog friendly campsite with easy access to the river at several points, and beautiful forest trails within the grounds. $10 for a small bundle of wood is excessive, so make sure to bring some of your own if you can. And there arent many toilet blocks for the number and size of pitches/groups (loop D at least).

Nice camp sites. Friendly camp host. No cell service, just the way we like it.

A nice quiet campground. The hosts are very kind and keep things going well. My campsite was clean and right near the river. Lots of trails and nice walks. Not really close to anything else. The bridges are out so not easy to get to the campground or Mt St Helens. All in all tho, a very pleasant rough camping experience and will go again next year when the bridge is fixed.

Gorgeous campground in an old growth forest with a loop trail to explore. D & C loops can hear the river.
@MartinM985C3C0 · Camped on Jun 19, 2025 at Campsite #76
Great campsite with well spaced out campsites each with its own picnic table and fire pit. Lots of water taps and toilets were kept very clean and well stocked and did not smell for drop toilets. Only thing to look out for is RV and tent sites are mixed so if you are in a tent you may end up next to noisy RV generators.

Nice quiet campground. Vault toilets were exceptionally clean.

Bridge was out so we could not get to the csmpground. Nearby ranger station closed the next morning. Detour information was vague and involved 32 minutes of driving over Forest service roads of questionable maintenance. No Internet service to cancel our reservation. We had to select alternate camping sites.

Iron Creek is such a beautiful campground! The campground was mostly empty when we checked in for our stay, so we found another, larger site that was available. It was perfect! The camp hosts were really friendly and helpful. We look forward to visiting the park again in the coming years!

This camp ground was so beautiful, the facilities were clean, the host family (May 30th- June 1st) was really helpful and kind. It was an amazing weekend!

Nice, relatively isolated campsites with fire pits and picnic tables. The site we had was right next to the creek, and the noise of the running water cancelled out any noise from people in the other campsites. Slept like a baby.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
