Friendly camp hosts waited for us to arrive later than we wanted. Nice level site with power and water. Showers were clean with lots of hot water. We will return on our next trip south.

I was in site#48, a very nice site, easy to get in/out Driveway. Close to the bath house.

My stay was for one night in the middle of the week. It was very quiet. The lake levels were pretty low but there were still boats going out to fish. The campsites and bathrooms were clean.

The grass needed cutting an the swimming area needed cleaning out ( wood an other stuff had blown in. )
The whole park in general is kinda growing up meaning, all the brush around the campsites needs cutting down. It used to be beautiful out there but it definitely needs attention an especially around where we are cause we are coming back the 16th of July but also site 30 31 32 need brush cut around it BAD those are our favorite but haven’t used because of that

Site 48 is a back in site and the pitch is quite steep. We left out travel trailer hooked to the Jeep
with the electric unplugged from the tow vehicle. Something we don't normally do. I figured I would never get the Jeep aligned the same way to hook back up. For us this was not a big deal as it was a 3 day get away and we didn't have to leave the park. Lots if roads if you have bikes. Was weird watching boats one day and having snow flakes the next. We had a wonderful time! Winter camping is fun ya'll! Get out there while the parks are wide open!

Sites are a little tight for modern equipment but park and facilities are clean and well kept.

We were very impressed with the Schafer Heard park and it’s amenities. It’s one of the nicest West Point parks that we’ve visited. The Hosts were very nice.

Love this place! Stayed two nights this time on our way to Atlanta. Our site was right on the water and the bath house was right around the corner. We'll definitely stay there again.

We have 3 kids, 10, 12 & 12 and they absolutely love camping. They ride the park on bikes constantly, meet friends (old and new) and love it every time we camp. We love knowing that they are safe and have some freedom to ride around together. We love it every time we camp and always say we can’t wait to come back.

Another nice ACE campground. Almost every site is lakeside. Would return when in the area. No gate attendant during COVID but online reservation was easy and was even able to modify to change to a better site when we arrived.
