Quiet, beautiful campground. The lady checking me in and out was very friendly and helpful. This is on my list and a favorite COE campground.

Great roads and camper pads, well thought out and kept. Worst restrooms I have encountered! Since there is not sewer at the campsite, the bath house is more important if you are staying more that a couple of days. In the 2 restrooms I tried, only one shower out of three had hot water. The toilet in my area was clogged from Tuesday morning to Thursday afternoon even though it was cleaned each day. They just cleaned the floor and left. We are not likely to revisit.

Always a pleasant arrival experience from the hosts. Grounds are well kept. The sites and bathhouses are clean. Always enjoyed this campground.

As always. Enjoyed our stay at Schaefer-Heard campground. Wonderful spot with a great (but protected) view of the lake. Had a wonderful 5 days but had to leave early due to severe weather moving in. Park attendants were nice enough to even refund our last day due the weather issue. Highly recommend this park if you want a nice, clean and comfortable place to camp with great views of the lake!

Quiet park with access to the water from our campsite. Exactly what we were looking for. The gatehouse is closed at this time of year but camp hosts are available for emergencies. Restrooms and showers are limited as portions of the campground are closed.

We stayed at the park on our way to and from Wisconsin, and a few other northern destinations, this Spring and Summer. Our stays were only for one-night, but in the future, we plan to stay for several days.There's really not a bad site there, with many being great! There are plenty of level (or almost level) sites, and some quite private. Most all have a water view. Lots and lots of trees. Beautiful!
