Great sites, nice water view even with level down for dam maintenance. Lots of dining nearby in West Point. Now our favorite close to home place to camp.

Wonderful and very helpful checkin hosts. Beautiful campgrounds pretty much all w water view and level. Some have steep driveway but level concrete pads. Enjoyed the nice long trail hike through the woods. Lake level way down due to repairs so we were able to pick up tons of trash along shoreline.

The park is very nice overall. Almost all sites are waterfront. The drawbacks from my last visit are: 1) the site I had was overrun with ants. 2) the site did not have a grill; only a fire pit. 3) the folks running the gate were a disappointment. I have one of my sons get sick. He called his fiance to come get him and the people at the gate would not let her drive to the siter to get him. I belive they thought we were at our lmit for vehicles. Regardless, she was only picking up a sick young man and leaving. She wasn't staying. We had to driver my sone to the front gate while towing a boat just to drop him off at the exit. Very disappointing.

The slope down to the campsite was steep but thanks to the information on the booking site, we were well aware of that. Site was level for our trailer and a LOT of room for outdoor eating, cooking, etc. Also great access to the lake. We loved it so much we booked this same site 3 more times this year.

Resource Manager was rude on several occasions to members of our party. He called the park rangers out on us for a parking violation. We had 5 vehicles on our campsite and not 4. Two of those vehicles were the camper and a trailer with a boat on it. All vehicles fit into the gravel area of our campsite. Nothing was blocking the road. We were willing to move one vehicle out of the gate but the park rangers evicted us out of campsite and gave us 2 hours to leave. Also the park ranger stated that a member of our party was argumentive with the man at gate which was not true.

The facilities are always well kept. The camp hosts do an excellent job of preparing the sites for the next visitors.

This is our favorite campground. The park is beautiful, clean and just a wonderful place to visit. The staff is very helpful and pleasant to deal with.

Beautiful site with lake views and a breeze off the water. This didn't get 5 stars on because the access into/out of the lake is pretty steep.
