A quiet and beautiful stay at site 41. Even the rain and very strong winds couldnt dampen our enthusiasm.

Loved it. Sun set right across the lake. Everything we needed in a great location. if we don't visit again, it's on us.

R Shaefer Heard is my personal favorite Army Corp of Engineers campground. The campground is well maintained by the staff and the hosts are always very pleasant. West Point Lake is a beautiful lake for rest and recreation.

We have stayed at several of the campsites at RSH and they are all very nice. The folks at the gatehouse are always friendly. The bathrooms are always clean. We get pretty good cell service (AT&T) on the campsites. It has easy access to the boat ramp.

Such an easy going location! My family and I love coming out here to unwind on the lake. This is by far one of our favorite spots!

We really enjoyed our stay here. Site 41 has a nice view of the lake and easy access to the lake if needed.
Would stay here again. If you need to hotspot to work, school, etc. There is 2-3 bars of Verizon that gave us decent speeds for work. Was also able to stream a couple shows.
Sites are well spaced for the most part and are large enough to put up cornhole, etc.

Large lakefront sites. Quiet in February. Did not use facilities due to covid. Well kept campground.
