Beautiful, quiet park with huge RV sites right on the water. All sites are paved with water & electric. Clean facilities that are well-maintained. We stayed for three days and definitely recommend. We will be back.

This was our first time at SHAFER-Heard . Also our first trip in this camper. We stayed at site 93. Great view of the lake, what little there was. The water was down for repairs. Our site was level and easy to back in. Nice shade from a very large white oak tree. Our dogs had lots of fun chasing falling acorns. The camp hosts were very friendly and helpful with local directions. Restrooms were clean and well stocked. All and all we had a pleasant stay, and plan to return at a later date.

Peaceful park, friendly hosts and clean facilities. Lovely setting. Surprise find was a state-of-the-art laundry mat on Cherry Drive in nearby Lanett!

We were camped in site 93 for 6 nights. The weather was very pleasant with a slight breeze that fed through the windows of our unit. Close enough to enjoy watching the water foul on the lake. Very little traffic on the lake because of the time of year. This location is convenient to both Lagrange and West Point/Lannet for restaurant choices.

Very nice COE park. Clean, sites generally level. Biked though park, some sites had evidence of rigs scraping going up or down slopes however. Had site on lake in early January 24. Will be back if passing though the area. 34 foot 5th wheel.

This place has the most beautiful sunsets, I would like to go sometime when the lake is allowed to be higher. The small town of Pine Mountain is a nice little adventure, always a friendly face at the welcome center and we added a visit to the local coffee shop for a wonderful coffee and cookie. Did miss our favorite donut shop Tasty Donut in Lanet AL being closed for vacation, but hey we all need one. New place for us Milano's Italian Grille, was excellent and bring your appetite it was a lot of food, after venturing we went to the consignment store next door, could have stayed all day. We stayed in #93 for 6 days. We will definitely return !

Most sites have water views. There is plenty of room between sites. A trip to the little town of Pine Mountain is a good way to spend can afternoon. Verizon cell service was adequate.

No one at the front desk to check in. There are missing signage directing campers to their camping spot. I was in #93 and the sign was missing directing all campers to that area. I love this campground and hope someone will get around to riding around and noticing things that are missing to assist campers, especially when it is off season and no one is manning the front gate. Thanks!

Although the weather was pretty chilly, our site was nice, Camp hosts were friendly and helpful. Not many campers so it was quiet !

I wanted to stopover on my way to Panama City. Excellent campground. Campground attendants were extremely helpful and courteous. We will gladly stay here again when in the area. Enjoyed a beautiful sunset and several deer. If you enjoy walking, you will have plenty of paved roads to get in your daily miles. Site 93 was level and very roomy. No ants during my stay.

By far our favorite place to camp in Georgia! Almost every site is waterfront and the sites have lots of privacy. Very affordable too
