The campsites were level and the view is beautiful but the wind was brutal. I know that is our of your control. The bathrooms and shower houses are in dire need of updating, painting and deep cleaning.

The people at the front gate were very friendly. Lot 2 is a great lot, except not much parking for extra cars. Even though the lake was way down, we still had a good view of it. We have Verizon, and our cell service was good.

I love this campground its very nice. I do not like being locked in though, I will never understand why they do not have a exit code like the state parks have. I do understand not leaving that gate open but we need a way out. Due to the bad tornado a few weeks ago I want the option to leave and I have a health problem so I want to not be locked into. Peggy and George are two that I would never ask to get out since she posted a letter about this complaining a few months ago. I was a camp host so I was glad to let someone out if needed that was was part of my job. I have two dogs and if I had to get out with my heart to the hospital I need to get back to my camper and George does not let anyone back in after leaving I do not think that is right. I could not leave my dogs in the camper all night like that.

Beautifully maintained park by the Army Corp of Engineering. Each site with a level pad, fire ring and many with picnic table. All within walking distance to the lake. Ideal environment for fishing with kids/grandkids, watching the bird activities on or over the lake and beautiful sunsets. Ten minutes drive to town for resources.

The layout of this park is exceptional. Almost every site has incredible views, very large lots, privacy, and away from big city business and noise. Weekends it can fill up, during the week it's almost empty. Great biking, trails, and walks.

Had a great time winter camping, half the park is closed but the half that is open is well maintained and the sites are nice, even though the lake level is much lower than in the summer. Cell coverage is spotty with Sprint, some sites have good reception and data, others are so so. Look forward to coming back soon.
