Only downside was I turned 62 while I was camping, would have preferred to got my senior pass in person, however, none had been sent there. Therefore I will now have to order it online and wait for a couple weeks to receive it meaning I either have to pay full price to camp or hold off until I receive it.

Very nice sites. Level and clean, with easy access to power and water on each site.

Summary: Nice park with some very good sites. Old but clean bathrooms. Dirt in the water. Friendly staff.Being the late fall the weather was cool and the park was fairly empty and very quite. We had an amazing pull through site 39 that was very private, the next campsite was barely within sight. The site has a concrete pad and is fairly level. The site has a large retain wall on the driver sides and is curved so it took some wiggling to get far enough away from the wall to open the compartment doors. The utilities are on top of the 3 or 4 foot retain wall so be prepared to climb or walk around to get up to the water and power. The area on the curb side is large, level, and covered in screening, making it very smooth and flat. The water has the typical red dirt in it that results from the park using the freeze proof hydrant which always suck a little ground water into the system resulting in red or brown water heavy with sediment. It loaded up my 1 micron filter in just 10 days. The lake was down and it had very good water access, not sure what it would be like if the lake were full. The staff is friendly and available. The restrooms are very old but they are in good shape and well maintained with soap, paper towels, nice enough showers with good hot water.

Very large level site with abundance of privacy. Cant see another campsite from it. Nice little walk to the lake but just enough trees to knock down those easterly winds when those thunderstorms pop up. And there going to do that in July/August.

We were booked on site 66 however the lady at check in said 39 was open and easier site to maneuver with a 38’ motorhome towing if we didn’t want to unhook. Since we were just passing thru for a night we took it. It was awful and we scraped the basement doors on the terraced railroad ties. So we walked to site 66 (1.4 miles) just out of curiosity. It was a beautiful and much more open site to get into. We however loved the campground and hope to return some day to enjoy it.

There are a few pull-throughs which we enjoy more than the tight back-in sites. We have stayed here twice as an overnight stop, so don't know much about activities in the area or must-see destinations. The park is clean, quiet, and for this senior, inexpensive.

Stayed for one night, pull through was great. Beautiful view of the lake. We’ll definitely be back for a longer stay
