Camp was in immaculate condition. Host(s) were very pleasant and helpful when needed. Site was spacious and long. Loved our stay as we stayed 2 different timesonce while headed to N. Ga and once while headed back home to S. Ala.

Beautiful and quiet when we were there. Loved having a lake view. Campground was clean. Laundry needs to be updated. Would definitely stay there again

Short but very nice stay. The property was clean and the attendants were very helpful and friendly. The lots are set up for privacy and the signage is very helpful in locating most locations. A sign just before 85 and up would be helpful as well. We look forward to enjoying the lake and relaxing from our busy schedules on a regular basis.

Got there onTuesday was told by park attendant to hang tag on review mirror. So I did. Left on Wednesday to go to store my, on the way back in I let my windows down so park attendant could see my tag cause my window are black out with tent. The park attendant George started fussing cause he couldnt see my tag till I roll my windows down and said he was going to put a rubber band around my mirror so he could see it better. Like I told him. 1st you cant see in my car unless my windows are down thats why I stop and let them down. 2. You are not going to do anything to my car. I did exactly like your wife told me to do the day I checked in. I think he is a nut. This is the 2nd time we have stayed and he has acted unprofessional.

The campground was excellent. The hosts were rude, condescending and ruined what should have been a great weekend.

R. Shaefer Heard is a favorite of ours. We try and return every Fall. This time our campsite, #73, was such a steep incline, we couldn’t get enough room to unhitch our 25’ travel trailer. After trying for an hour, we went back to the gate and explained the problem. Peggy found us a better suited, level site, #85. She was so nice and helpful. The grounds are always well kept, bathrooms clean, and the sites have lots of room.

R Shaefer Heard is a great place to camp! Sights are not crammed together and it is very clean. Hosts are very friendly!
