I had a beautiful lakeside site with direct access to the water. They were working on the boat launch so the water level was extremely low. I did not need to use the bathroom or bathhouse, but they are in need of renovation. The staff at the gatehouse was extremely friendly and outgoing. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that at 7:20 am the tree maintenance contractor started cutting down a tree right next to my site using chainsaws. It was extremely loud and extremely inconsiderate due to the early start. I don't know that the campground has any control over this. It took about 45 minutes to clear the tree and debris (using heavy equipment and loud blowers). When I spoke with the gatehouse they were not aware this was happening.

The campsite was great, my wife wants to come back. It had great sunsets. The view of the eagles nest was awesome as well. The lake was quiet. Make a trip to the Visitors center.

The park is fabulous. We had a great spot. It could use a lot of updating in the restrooms and bathhouses. Lots of rust. But the contractors keep them clean. The host at the check-in booth must’ve been new, a little militant Q&A to get our site card. We will return.
However, this trip was marred by bathhouse issues. The water heater was “repaired” on Monday. We still had no hot water Tuesday and Wednesday. We were told multiple times it just needed to run awhile. Well that didn’t work. So with only 2 bathhouses for the entire park, and one of those out of commission, it was very inconvenient. No urgency or concern.
Probably the most relaxing and beautiful place we have had the pleasure of dropping anchor. Definitely in my top 10 and will go out of my way to stay here again. Site 44 was perfect!!!

Mobile Data Speed Map
#123
If there are speed tests submitted for a campground the campsite icons will be colored based on the average download speed and the border will be colored based on the average upload speed.
In this example Campsite #123 has very good download speeds and decent upload speeds. If a campsite has a solid yellow color it means there was no data speed detected in the test(s). Clicking on a campsite icon reveals more details.
