Beautiful park. Wonderful people. Able to ride our bikes without issue. This is our third year and we will keep going back. The plus is they are also close to Roosevelt SP and Callaway Gardens. Great hikes and places to see.

Lovely campground and well maintained. There needs to be more shower facilities in closer proximity to the campsites!

We’ll maintained park. We enjoyed our stay and will be back. They only have two bathhouses, and one didn’t have hot water, so be prepared to shower in rig and have a tote available to make runs to dump station. There are two of those! I’m not complaining, just saying, be prepared.

The 1-16 loop is fantastic. Great views of the lake, flat sites with lots of room.

Campground was lovely, as is always is the case with this park and COE campgrounds. We did have problems with rude, noisy neighbors but the campground hosts were helpful and empathetic to our situation. Thanks and we will be back soon.

Shaeffer Heard is one of our favorite parks. Most of the sites are waterfront and spacious, its a great place to bike and kayak and the hosts are always gracious!

We came to relax and enjoy sitting around the fire in the cool nights. It was one of our best trip so far. We will come again.

This is a large park, very clean and nicely landscaped, campground hosts were very friendly and helpful. We stayed at #7 which had a great view of the lake, cell phone service with AT&T was very spotted. would definitely stay again.

As always, COE parks are the best hands down. Wish I could just drive in without a reservation like before covid.

This was just a quick overnight stop for us. Our site was on the lake. The pad was abundantly long enough for our 35" 5th wheel plus the truck. In addition, there was an additional parking pad for another vehicle. The sites were spaced apart nicely. There were trees but none that hampered getting into our site. We did not explore the park but what we did see was quite nice. The dump station was easy to get into and large. We would definitely stay here again.
