We enjoyed our 3 day stay with our family in site 50 (double site). The camp site was very clean and ready upon arrival. The camp hosts were exceptional - very friendly and helpful. We will return!!!! Wi-Fi is pretty poor, but we did manage to find the perfect spot (a 3x3 spot in the center of the site!) to watch the GT and GA games!

We love the park! It seems that the park Hosts. Feel they work for the FBI or something, we use photo copies for all our travel cards.ect( passport, known traveler card, gun permit fishing license insurance . ) but this is not good enough for the Host and hostess , they were going to make us leave it we didnt present the hard copy. And a constant drive by for pass check as he called it. Very over bearing.

Easily accessable, we had lot 20, beautiful setting on the water with plenty of room. Restrooms, showers and laundry right there if you need them. No walking trails but just walking the of all was a beautiful!!! People there were very friendly and helpful!!!

Everything went well. We had good weather the entire week. It was to early for the flies to be out. Our camp site was a great one. Thanks.

There were people at check in, who advised us they were closed but come back next day. and to just go on to our site. so we did. we never made it back the next day. we only had the dbl site in our name one night and then daughter in law had it in hers second and third night. guess it wasnt a problem. we are life senior members and have the card hanging on window. we enjoyed ourselves.. its beautiful and peaceful. no problems. will return 4/8th.

My family and I have camped in several different campgrounds around the southeast and without a doubt R Shafer Heard is one of the best campgrounds in the southeast!!! Plenty to do for all ages.

Excellent sites with almost all of them with a water view. Not on top of your neighbors. Nice facilities in several locations so not a long way from any of the camp sites. Two waste lanes.

We had an amazing weekend at RSH. Campsite was clean - even fire pits were emptied and ready for use. Very impressed with our first experience there!

We chose site 50 and 51 because it was a joint site. But we found out it was not good for a 40 foot 5th wheel and a 25 foot travel trailer to share the same pull through site. The power and water was not far enough apart. Despite that we had a wonderful stay with our son his family.
