Very nice campground, spacious sites, some totally shaded, some directly on the water. Well maintained and very quiet. Places nearby for shopping and dining.

Beautiful park. Camp hosts were very friendly. Lake was down but the views were still fantastic. Would highly recommend.

Very nice campground. Large wooded sites. Bathrooms need updating but I would definitely stay here again. I was only overnighting here so did not have any interaction with staff other than checkin. Had a quiet and restful night!

Our campsite was great, but the bathrooms near the loop for sites 1-16 need some attention. They were constantly overflowing and stopped up. The attendants on duty did their best to address the issue, but it was ongoing our entire 3 days.

Very nice sites. Most back up to the lake. The bathrooms are very dated but clean.

Well maintained park, campsites level and separated well. Bathhouse is fair, average for COE campgrounds. Biking good. Swimming in lake good.

This Core of Engineer was beyond our expectations: clean & spacious sites plus well-maintained roads & helpful staff & friendly campers too. The lake was beautiful with a peaceful ambience during our mid-November visit. We also enjoyed its proximity to the beautiful & interesting town of LaGrange. Visiting the Biblical History Center was an educational & inspiring highlight. We're already planning a repeat trip to R. Shaefer Heard. The Kellys

We stayed at site 16 which we found to be very nice, our only disappointment was that quiet hours were not enforced by the park staff. It was up to other campers to police those not complying with quiet hours.

The attendants were very rude and not helpful . The area is nice but the attendants were disrespectful and ruined our trip .
