Awesome camp ground grandfather use to talk about it all the time finally stayed very good experience. Staff was wonderful would recommend to others.

Great location on the lake! Our pull through site was a little tight for our 26 foot Travel Trailer but the site set up was good.The water was down at West Point but this offered a different perspective to the lake.We were still able to Kayak and had numerous opportunities to walk the expanded shoreline.

Very nice park, roads and camping spots are kept in great shape. Only problem I saw was camping signage on roads to sertain loops were missing. We did find our spot and had a pleasant stay. Thank you

Staff is always great. Park is clean and tidy. Lake is beautiful at every angle. Never realized how much light pollution I was getting even in some "remote" locations until I camped here. PITCH BLACK, milky way is beautiful.

We always stop here on way home and like the sites. The site this time was a little too tight for my rv however I asked for 50 amp and I guess that was the only one.I am disappointed in recreation.gov reservation site

Some sites are very narrow, with curbs and patio construction. Better pictures of sites would be helpful when selecting a site to reserve.

Site 91 is tight with slide outs. Deck is nice but somewhat blocks view. Very nice campground, sites are cleaned after use. Very nice host.

It is a pretty park that is well maintained. We were there for 4 days. You have to book way in advanced in order to get the site you want for the length of time you want. I booked a month and half out and had to move camp sites 3 times to get our full stay. We were there for a triathlon, so it may have been busy for that.

As always, our stat at Richard Shaefer Heard was great. The hosts for the weekend we were there were great as well. After trying to get setup at a site, our site would not work for our slide. The host put us in another site without issues.

The campground was pretty and well taken care of, but the sites were too close to each other. We pretty much just overnighted there and left the next morning.

Site 91 should be designated for small camping units. When making reservations there is nothing that tells you how close and small this site is. In my case, it was the only site available, so I had to make it work. I could not level my unit because of the railing around the deck. Power connection and water connection are too close to the road. This site needs a MAJOR redesign.
