We stayed at site 58 Holiday campground. The grass was tall and not mowed. We got ticks on us just from walking around the site. We had ants crawling all over the sides of the camper and they got inside. So the grounds were obviously not treated at all for bugs and the grass being tall didn’t help. Now we have to fumigate the camper. Never had this happen before. The man who lives there at the campground and runs the entry shack, is an absolute jerk. He was rude every time we encountered him. My husband let him know before we left that he was an unpleasant person all weekend. The water at this lake was an uncomfortable 90
Something degrees the whole time. It was like getting into a bath, literally. Never experienced that before. However the clarity was decent. These sites have your set up spot behind campers which doesn’t make sense. No one sets up behind their campers. This site was directly in the sun all day as the others were not. The sites just don’t make sense. None of them face the lake. The door of the camper opens on the wrong side to see the lake. I give this place a 2 star rating because I just love being near the water just to look at it even. But there are no amenities at this campground. No playground, no laundry, just the lake. And if you don’t have a boat, you won’t be having much fun.
