Great location for me, 2hr outside Atlanta. View was excellent. Not crowded on weekdays. Clean sites. The bathrooms, though showing age, were fully functional, clean and stocked ad hot water. For better or worse, cell service was good and antennae reception for tv was adequate. A tennis court was available with a new net for any number of games, though the court was well past 'used by' date. Another area has a rustic swing set, yet another had the a basketball court ready to use. Plenty of ramps for boats all over the park. Site 4 was very flat and had plenty of adjacent extra green space and extra parking directly behind.

The campground was nice as usual. We have stayed at it several times over the years. However, the water was HORRIBLE! It tasted awful and smelled like rust. We had to go into town to buy water to drink, make coffee, make ice and brush our teeth and bathe in. We never felt clean because the water was actually brown in the glass and in the ice. The property is advertised as having water and electricity. We never suspected one or the other was going to be worthless.
We were not the only guests that had the same problem. The folks across from us asked us if we were having the problem of our water being undrinkable. Also our family came in another camper and stayed. We all stayed 2 weeks. So needless to say we spent a good deal on water from the store. In addition it cost time and money to drive into town to get water.
We were terribly disappointed. Someone is going to get sick drinking that stuff. And in this sue happy country the Corp of Engineers will be sued. We will not seek legal recourse but I imagine someone will.
