We always enjoy our time at Woodring. It is always quiet. But the bathrooms were not keep clean and stocked and that was a disappointment.

We always like xsmping here because its on the lake and we can take our boat.

We have stayed there several times over the years. Always neat, cleaned, well maintained.

I have been to other COE sites and the gate house is manned for checkin. Here you just pull up and fill out a card with your information (better have your own pencil/pen) go to your reserved site and enjoy. If you need the campgrolund host you need to go back to the entrance which is not close. Our site was nice, but it would have been better if some of the trees were trimed so you could see the lake! Other sites had great views but we were not that lucky. They discourage bringing in firewood, but there is not available there.

This is our favorite camping spot! Carters Lake is pristine, beautiful, wonderful. The water is so clean compared to other lakes. As for the campsite, its is also well maintained and the hosts are always really nice and welcoming. Theres really not a bad campsite in the place! We are bummed out over the shortened camping season beginning this year 2020 because of lack of federal and local funding. I really hope that changes before April 1st.
