The site was a bit of a mess with quite a few tree branches on the table and tent pad. One of the table benches was infested with bull ants.

Stayed 2 weeks at one of the tent only campsites (no electricity or hookups) and was fortunate NOT to have other campers close by for the majority of the time. So quiet and peaceful. HOWEVER, the volunteer hosts were extraordinary! Restrooms spotless and they routinely drove past daily and kinda checked on me as I was alone the majority of the time. Campground was very well maintained.

Doll Mountain is a pretty campground. the camp sites are very close to each other and our neighbors were up all night and kept us up all night. the campgrounds are clean, the bathrooms are clean, i do wish it had direct access to the lake.

Its very difficult to reserve a site when youve never been there. After reserving one that I thought would be ok when I arrived there were several much better options. I tried to change my reservation and they wouldnt let me change without canceling the original one first. There would have been a $10 cancellation charge. I was dissatisfied with the first choice but next time I know which site to reserve. Its hard for me because I travel by motorcycle and usually dont know where Ill be camping until late afternoon

We love this campground. We were in a group and were able to get sites together. They were secluded enough to feel like we were really away from it all but were still very convenient to the facilities. The only downside to this campground is there is no easy or real access to the water. Its a steep and sketchy hike down to the lake.
