A well established campground with wonderful vistas and amenities one expects with a COE property. It could be better maintained, the dumpsters could have covers, and the assignment of sites more in line with the customer needs

Campsites are beautiful and spacious. We were in C 19. Lovely trees, beautiful lake, amazing sunsets. Level pads which are kept super nice. Ours was gravel while most are paved. Our site was left pristine up on our arrival. The camp hosts were helpful and super sweet.

Hosts are great people, sites and bathrooms are clean. If you could hold the rain off it would be perfect.

Nice quiet, campground bathrooms need some remodel

The detour due to road closure was a little wonky--very narrow-- to start. The sites are paved which is nice, but in the treed areas, covered in pine needles. I had to switch sites after the first day, from 49 to 25, due to Starlink coverage. The second site was much nicer. The bathrooms, unfortunately, are sketchy. You can't tell if they are clean, they are so old--did not use them. The biggest thing for me, as a park volunteer/camp host, was the amount of garbage lying around. I spent an hour one day picking it up and had a lawn bag full when I was done--I only covered a small area! It was also a bummer to see the water so low, but that is not always in the park's control.

The water front sites are fantastic. Try 24 or 26! No don't!!! That is less time for me to get it them.

Hosts were great. Only issue is the ants. Just be prepared and it will be fine.

I love this campground and have stayed here several times. The check-in process is easy, restrooms/shower houses are clean and campsites are inspected and cleaned up between campers. On the other hand, the general grounds maintenance is lacking or non-existent.

1) This park, unlike many COE campgrounds actually has, or had, a nature trail. It has been closed since hurricane Michael in fall 2018 due to the trail cleanup, downed trees, etc. 2 1/2 years would seem enough time to get that project underway, yet still, there seems no urgency.
2) There seems to be a general lack of interest in keeping the grass mowed and weeds cut back, especially in campsites. A camper neighbor had to find a weedeater to remove the 12" weeds and grass in his site. There is grass and weeds overtaking the gravel areas of the campsites.
3) Many of the picnic tables have cracked and splintering wood on the tabletop. The tables have metal frames so can be refreshed with new wood benches and table tops.
4) Other than the work provided by camp hosts, which do a good job, there seems to be a lack of Corps oversight regarding general maintenance issues. Is this a budgetary problem or is no one actually inspecting this park and recommending improvements and hurricane remediation?

Great campground. Extremely well kept. Sites are large with plenty of space between neighbors. Highly recommend.

The campground is well kept and the sites are not too close. The stumps attest to the loss of shade trees from hurricane Michael, but the nice breezes off Lake Seminole were terrific. We had a terrible time with flies, but they didn't spoil our trip and we'll be back for sure. The campground is in the western-most edge of the Eastern time zone and while our phones never recognized the correct time, we had great Verizon cell phone coverage.
