Great campground. Clean. Well maintained. Strong thunderstorms took the power out for 8 hrs our first night. No AC in July in Georgia isnt fun. Wouldnt advise leaving outside items /awnings unattended in the summer due to the strong winds kicked up by afternoon thunderstorms. Purchased a 5000w generator in Augusta - one night without AC convinced us it was time to check that off our want list. It came in handy as we experienced power outages (storm related) every day we were there. No fault of the campground- these were strong severe thunderstorms Loved our site- very spacious. Easy water access. T- mobile 2-3 bars when we had shore power- resorted to a Verizon esim data plan only during power outages- 3-4 bars. Tmobiles coverage was severely diminished during the power outages. Verizons- not so much. Despite the weather related issues we had a great time. Will revisit earlier in the summer next year before the severe weather season hits.

This campground is the best one we have ever been to. The people that take care of it are the nicest people you would ever like to meet they are very helpful.

Winfield is an outstanding example of what a camping experience can be.
Great weather coupled with your favorite site, right next to Clarks Hill Lake is a perfect getaway from the FL of today.
Nanette and Tonya as your hosts as you both enter and explore could not be any friendlier or helpful. We always look forward to seeing the pines, deer, squirrels, myriad of song birds etc. It is a welcomed escape, especially during the weekdays when the "weekenders" leave. :-)

The camp sites are always clean ,restrooms and bath houses are very well maintained but the only complaint that i have is that the campground is not open year round or until the end of the year it rarely gets cold before January and then people love to camp in the winter so i think the campground should stay open year round
