The people serving at this campground are truly welcoming and friendly. The bath houses have been upgraded with self-flushing toilets and hands-free faucets since I was at the campground last year. There is even a hands-free soap dispenser, but unfortunately the staff told me they had been unable to obtain the refills for the dispenser due to COVID. But there were park-provided pump soap dispensers. The sites at this park are almost all on the water with water access. There is plenty of spacing between most of the sites as well. Over-all a wonderful, calm, and perfect retreat. I did notice an issue with my Verizon cell phone service from last year (2020), I had issues this year (2021) with unreliable service and data issues even with my $500 cell phone booster. Last year I had no problems, which makes me wonder if something happened to Verizon's tower.

What a wonderful campground! The sites are enormous, level, well-equipped with new picnic table, grill table and lantern hook, and the views of the lake are simply stunning. We had all kinds of birds to watch and a bullfrog that serenaded us throughout the day.

Bathhouse was always clean and the showers were roomy. No sewer at the site and only one dump station but this campground is so beautiful that I didn't care. Verizon cell service was nonexistent at my site, had to walk to the boat launch but so what, it was nice to disconnect for a while.

Unless you have a boat (next time!!) there aren't a lot of activities in the campground but there is a small unattended beach and they did have a corn hole game set up outside the bathhouse. It's close to a state park that may offer more to do in the day, and it's close enough to Augusta to go exploring there.

So far this has been the best campground I've visited for the views and tranquility. I wish I could have stayed there longer.
