1st time visit. Will be back. Lots of nicely shaded spots with water views and decent privacy. The campground roads are level which is great for walking or riding bikes. The beach area looked nice and had loaner life vests for the kids as did the boat ramp. The bath houses are clean, but dang hot in the summer, but what did I expect? Some of the cooking tables could use straightening, but are a nice addition to the sites. Camp staff were very helpful and friendly. Only about 15 minutes off I-20 and 5 minutes or so from Mistletoe SP if you want to explore there. Verizon cell service was very good toward the back half of the campground going towards the boat ramp. I heard the signal was very weak the closer you got to the gate.

Very nice and quiet campground. The camp hosts were so friendly and helpful. We will definitely camp there again in the near future.

Be warned, there are ants at this site. However, other than that the scenery was awesome and relaxing. Had great T-Mobile (5G even) service on site 80 and 78. Also had great Visible (Verizon pre-paid) service on these sites as well. Was able to relax, and get some work done!

Winfield has always been our go to campground. This time it was amazing. The current caretakers really believe in the park, make you feel welcome and genuinely make sure the park facilities are in the best space to insure your stay will be pleasant. We hope Lanette and Tonya stay for a long time. We enjoyed having a clean campsite when we arrived and the bath houses were exceptionally clean The playground and beach were were great for the kids and with the speed limit rules in place, we all enjoyed bike riding and taking walks. The fish were biting along our site bank and our boat was easily parked rite on the bank of our site. We played cornhole and yardzee, enjoyed tubing and boat rides, and time with family and friends. We cant wait until our next trip.
