Our go to camp ground in the area. 90% of the sites have lake views, easy access for RVs, and there is distance between neighbors. The staff is absolutely wonderful. And their pride in managing and maintaining the campground is truly remarkable. Highly recommended for a secluded getaway.

Our 1st visit to the Winfield Campground and we really enjoyed it. It got to pretty windy on Sunday and cooler but we still enjoyed it there. Very clean and all personnel were extremely cooperative and helpful.. Look forward to our next trip.

This was our first time at this camp ground. If I would have know that the site was down a hill, I would have picked a different site. Needed 4wheel drive to get the camper up the hill when we left. The water access was great on site#12. The bathrooms were kept clean and the staff were great. Overall a good stay.

The lot was fairly easy to get into with a 33 camper. Had to do some adjusting to get into position. Had to use several blocks under the tire to level the camper. There is a large dead tree beside the lot that could be an issue in bad weather. The lot was easy to get down to the water and we were able to park the pontoon right there. Afternoon shade was nice in summer.

Winfield has been our "go to" campsite for many years. The sites are big and spacious, lake sites have wonderful views, and the gate keepers (campground hosts) are informed, pleasant, and helpful. With the Covid restrictions in place, check in was smooth and quick. Water and electric, moveable tables, fire pits, and grills are on each site. There is a designated beach area (no lifeguards) for supervised swimming and a small park (not open due to Covid restriction). We enjoyed riding bikes, playing corn hole, swimming, tubing, skiing, and kayaking. Boats can be tied at the lake's banks near most sites. (The COE has lifejackets for use if extra are needed). Seeing deer, geese, jumping fish, birds, squirrels, butterflies, and lizards were fun for the grandchildren. The American flags on the site posts were a nice touch of patriotism. However our recent trip was a little disappointing as far as the trash and litter beside the roads and in the woods of the camp sites. It seems campers have forgotten the camping rule "leave the site better than you found it". The bathhouse was not as clean as usual and was quite a spooky feeling taking a shower alone after dark. The amount of fallen trees, limbs, and overgrown undergrowth surrounding the sites made for more anxiety in possible "creepier" animals. With only a few weeks left in the camping season there, hopefully a good over all park cleaning could be scheduled before reopening. Maybe a "Friends of Winfield Campground" could help with concerns. Overall, Winfield is one of the nicer COE parks and we would love for it to become a year round park again.

Site #12 was great! We had plenty of room, it was private and a great site to have our boat. The only issue we had was the firepit was full of trash the day we checked in. We will definitely camp here again!!
