Very nice campground. Most campsites offer privacy, others offer stunning lake views. We visited in the fall, when occupancy was down. We enjoyed the quietness. We were leaving early saturday morning and that was the most noise we heard during our stay, was all the boats going by to claim their fishing spot! We will be back!

Nice Park. Some sites are on the water, if you can get one.

Bring ant spray and granules. Everything else great!

This park is big rig doable but not big rig friendly. Some on the sites would be hard to get into with a big rig so choose carefully. The views of the lake were nice and the breeze kept it cool. Wish this park had WI-Fi and sewer. The gate hose is closed on Tuesday and Wednesday.

COE campgrounds are our favorite and with family living in Augusta, Petersburg is very close. We've stayed here 3 times in our 38' Class A motorhome and found we really like Loop B since it is a peninsula feeling with lake all around. But so do others as those sites are hard to get especially on weekends. Be alert to ants as some sites have them worse than others and they can get into your camper/trailer/etc. Wonderful campground at a great deal using the National Park Senior Pass making the rate $14.
The sites are clean, widely spaced, and easy to access. The facility in general was also clean and well maintained. Our site (52) was not particularly boat friendly, as there is a breakwater at the site which made us anchor the boat instead of beaching. The breakwater also made accessing the water at our campsite problematic. This condition is prevalent at this campground, if you plan to bring a boat you should pre-visit the site to ensure it will meet your needs.

As usual, Petersburg well kept and one of our favorite campgrounds.
Great campground! The sites are large and pretty. The lake is big and beautiful. We had a very peaceful time.

Mobile Data Speed Map
#123
If there are speed tests submitted for a campground the campsite icons will be colored based on the average download speed and the border will be colored based on the average upload speed.
In this example Campsite #123 has very good download speeds and decent upload speeds. If a campsite has a solid yellow color it means there was no data speed detected in the test(s). Clicking on a campsite icon reveals more details.
