Very nice campground. The site was right on the water with a great view.Great area for walking and bike riding with a beach near by for swimming. There are towns near by.

One of the best COE campgrounds we have encountered! Very well laid out with spacious sites and well maintained roads and public areas. Cell phone coverage was a bit weak, but we camp for the relaxation anyway. 20-30 minutes from anything you'd need in Augusta GA makes for a nice feeling of being away from it all. Site 43 was spacious and no leveling blocks needed.

This was our first visit to Petersburg CG, and we are definitely coming back. Most of the campsites here are spaced so far apart that we felt like we had the campground to ourselves. The hosts and staff were great. Between all the loops, and the Bartram Trail near the campground there was more walking and hiking than we could do over a long weekend. We did not see the alligator at the pond, but we did see an Armadillo or two.

The park is very well kept.. the sites are clean and bathhouses are clean and well maintained.

Great park, beautiful views, hiking nearby, clean restrooms, well maintained park. Sites are all different, & some are more accessible to larger rigs than others

The most beautiful campground I have ever seen. Really nice people running it. The only thing that let it down was a large party of intoxicated campers screaming obscenities at the top of their lungs until 2:30 a.m. one night. I did consider calling the police because there was violent sounding fighting going on. There needs to be some basic policing of behaviors and of the drinking rules of the park. Otherwise, very beautiful.

This was the best campground I have been to. I have camped in 4 states and this is hands down the best overall experience I have had. The area is remote enough to feel away from everything, but not terrible far if you need something. The grounds were immaculant and the facilities and campsites are perfect. Lakefront, amenities, this was a great experience. This was my 40th birthday and I wanted to solo camp and get away. It was a perfect location.
