Our site was not cleaned. Fish hooks and trash on the ground. I understand that the Park maybe short handed. However, there were serious violations being overlooked. Friends of ours that were camping in a different loop were attached by unleashed dogs. They were jumping in her face and circling her while she held her leashed dog.I understand there was another incident by these same campers and their dogs. Also, there were two unleaded dogs swimming with their owner at the public beach by the picnic shed. These dogs were well behaved but again the issue was not addressed. We personally encounter two trucks racing through the park. The came at my husband and I as we were riding our bikes on the correct side. These people were at a site that we were told occupied by homeless people... still all rules should apply to all campers. I hope these issues will be addressed.

We love Petersburg. From Petersburg we like to make day trips to other places for other activities - Elijah Clark State Park, Mistletoe State Park, Rocky Branch Golf Course, and the Bartram Trail. And, if you need to make a trip to a grocery store - Publix in only about 10 minutes away.

I like the electric spots - nice and big. Also the Shower/Restroom Building is very clean.

As with most COE campgrounds the service from staff is always excellent. Becky and Eddie were helpful, friendly, and and professional. Cellphone service is very poor but that is usually the case at COE campgrounds. Not COE fault. Loved the large number of pull through sites. However, way to many sites had STEEP entry and exit from sites. Also gravel was very loose and not at all what I have been used to with COE campgrounds I have visited on a regular basis. In looking at many other sites at Petersburg, I found the placement of water and electrical hookups totally opposite of what all rvs are setup to hook up.
I would come back again and using my notes I would know the good sites to book.

Upon arrival we had to go-to Walmart for an extra 30 amp cord as the power cord was so far away from the camper. We could have forgone buying one had we chose to leave our slide out in extended. Nice campground overall. Remote location with tons of pull thru sites. Bathrooms could use some updates/work because of their age but they were clean.

This is another ACE campground that we found by shear luck and will come back to.

Love the trails for walking. All the sites are wooded and beautiful. The bath houses are kept clean. Just a great all around park.
