Great park. Gate attendant really helpful. Restrooms well taken care of. A shame to see all the tree damage after the last hurricane.

We had a good week at Petersburg. Pretty swim area and our campsite #14 was overlooking one of the fingers of the lake. Nicely shaded and easy to fish from the bank. The Bartram Trail was very nice for hiking and mountain biking, and we did a 5 mile round trip hike one morning, and I later rode my bike 20 miles round trip from the campground to the Dam. The free laundry was a very short walk from our site. It was nice to get a weeks worth of laundry done before get-a-way day.

Always quiet, serene and restful. The caretakers do a wonderful job preparing the site so set up is always easy and a breeze!

This was one of the nicest parks I've ever stayed in. I loved the spacious and level sites. Laundry on site was wonderful. This was a rest stop for me after continuous traveling for several weeks. I spent a week at Petersburg & loved it. The hiking trail was great.Only 2 small criticisms. If traveling in a motor home, you have to depend on walking or biking to take the trash to the dumpster. In a van camper there is no room to store garbage; I have to take mine every day. So, with bad knees, I did wish for closer dumpsters. Also, some of the campsites are off the road on a little loop, but there were no numbers up on the road so you would know which loop to go down. But these small inconveniences did not keep me from loving this park and enjoying my stay. Just wish it were closer to Texas!

Great campsite right on the water with plenty of privacy. Clean bathhouse and lovely grounds. The only complaint was out of anyone's control. The lake level was profoundly low so no water recreation was possible.

Always a joy to be at Petersburg! The boat ramp was still great to use even though the water level is down. Eddie and Brenda are fantastic camp hosts and always pleasant.

Petersburg campground was a beautiful spot. The sites were spaced far apart, the campground was clean and workers were there doing spring landscaping. The grocery store was reasonably close and we had plenty of walking trails to make the dog happy. We would definitely go back.

Large level site, though we had quite a bit of rain the site drained quickly. Plenty of room between site locations. It was easy to maneuver camper into location. Roads were in good shape. Friendly staff.!We will be coming back.

This campground has large level well maintained lakeside and lake view sites. Great place for solitude in winter and I imagine a getaway mecca in summer.

We love this campground! The sites are spacious and not jammed together. It's also one of only two on the lake that are open year round. Winter camping is the best. No bugs, no crowds.

Our site was large and had a private stairway down to the water. Sitting at the firepit was a beautiful view through the woods at the lake. Very quiet and all the sites are spaced plenty far apart. There's a nice boat launch area and from every site we could see the lake. The host was a very welcoming and friendly.

Campsites are very well maintained and the lake views are breathtaking! Employees were very friendly and made check-in a breeze (wore masks and/or physically distanced when interacting). Bathhouse could use a little updating; showers had curtains instead of doors and the room was not heated. Showers are hot though. Overall, great experience! Would highly recommend this place in the warmer months.
