80% of trees have been cut so theres no privacy. Check in and check out times are wrong on website and reservation email so someone from the park came banging on our door and was extremely rude asking if we were leaving that we should have already been gone. Check in is apparently at 1pm not 3pm like website says yet no one is at the check in point until 2pm-4pm everyday so makes zero sense. We love staying army corp but will NEVER return to this one

We are so happy to have our campground back after Hurricane Helene. She certainly left her mark, however I think she will be looking very nice in the spring.

We have been camping at this campground for over 30 years and this last trip in April of 2024 was very disappointing. There was a lot of trash not being picked up by the hosts. The campsites had not been cleaned off and ready for incoming campers and were not being cleaned off while we were there for a week! No one was at the office until the day before we left and we ourselves never checked in at the office. The campground was just very different. It was like it had been let go, not cared for and left to run down! The campground is in dire need of gravel in MANY campsites and limbs and trash need to be cleaned up. Our campsite (number 4) had a huge pond right under our awning for most of our visit because when it rained the water had nowhere to run so it all settled right under our awning. Needless to say it was nasty and our shoes stayed nasty. We had to move our rug elsewhere because it was swimming and would not dry out. This campsite definitely needs some work done to help with the draining issues! We were very disappointed with Petersburg Campground on this camping trip! We hope is gets the attention it needs to get back up to par like it has been in the past!

This park is on the lake and most sites have the water just a few feet from the site. very nice park, lots of walking on park roads and on Bartram Trail that crosses thru this campground.

Sites need to have a layer of crush and run. After a rain the sites have puddles due to lack of drainage. The fire pit was a very large hole that filled up with water after a rain and stayed mostly muddy, so not usable. Grills are rusted and unusable. No soap in the dispenser the 6 nights we camped. Pluses are the sites are spacious with beautiful lake views. Large roped off area for the children to swim.

The site we had was very large and on the water, beautiful and I would return to the same site. The reason for 4 rather than 5 stars was the rain pooled right in front of the 5th wheel door side and was very slow to drain.

Loved our campsite 04A. Huge site and we caught some really nice catfish off the bank! Loved it! Kids loved the park you could see from our site!

We will continue to camp there because its a beautiful place.

Great location and enjoyed our stay very much. We got rain and campsite was a little soggy as a result but that is all a part of camping. Lake was beautiful and unusually quiet. The boat ride to Lakeside Grill was perfect and the food was delicious as usual.

Petersburg is a typical excellent COE, with a beautiful layout and wonderful sites. Although it may one day happen, I am yet to come across a COE that was poorly run or maintained.

The woman at the entry gate was most helpful in a number of different ways. The campground was beautiful and the site I stayed at was SPOTLESS.I was planning to stay one night but it was so beautiful I stayed a second night.Thanks to everyone who works there GREAT JOB!

I do not believe there is a bad site in this campground. Sites have water and electricity and are very large and well separated. We will definitely return. There is lots of space for walking and biking. It is near enough to visit the town of Augusta, but as the Covid pandemic is in full swing, we did not go there.
