While the weather was very hot, the campsite was pleasant and the neighbors were delightful.

The campsite 77 c was smoking drugs all weekend and nothing was done about it. Could not stay outside due to the smell

Had heard about the Corps of Engineers Campgrounds through an owners forum. Needed a place to park for a couple of nights on the way to a teacher training and located Petersburg through the Recreation.Gov website.Website was very user friendly. Was able to select the site I wanted. Check in was quick and easy with everything being explained by someone who has done this many time.Roads and sites are clearly marked and mine (75) was super easy to back into. Nailed it the first try. Most sites in this campground are within 100 feet of the water. Many share small beaches for you to go down and lounge at the water's edge.Water and Electrical are well positioned for however your RV is configured. Dump station on the way out is easy in and easy out.If we every get the chance to get back this way with the RV, we will stay here again. For a longer stay.

I have only camped at Petersburg for years now. My whole family always enjoys it. They have all we need to be comfortable And have a good time. Everything is always clean and the quiet.

We had site 75, on the lake. It was a little cramped by close neighbors but we still enjoyed being on the water. It was extremely windy all night and we wonder if that's the norm or just our luck in March. Most of the sites are waterfront we noticed and most were not as crowded together as ours was. We would love to camp there again, but when we looked for a time to meet friends there on a weekend in May, nothing was available. So apparently it's a popular spot on weekends. We biked part of the Bartram Trail from the campground and went as far as we could on the intermediate section till a big muddy part that we couldn't get around caused us to turn back. We encountered a few muddy areas that we could at least get around. Then we took the trail the other direction which is easier biking and we enjoyed it more.

Great spot right next to the lake. Great sunsets. Nice and quite area. I bet it is a bit busier during the summer months.
