This was our first time visit. Our site was ok, but the gate guard was very rude and hateful and ruined what could have been a pleasant experience. We wouldn't come back again if the sites were free.

My problem is with the female Ranger. I had loaded my truck with fishing gear and used it to relocate down the grass area to fish and not have to walk a long ways and carry a bunch of stuff (disabled Veteran). I left my truck in and EMPTY camping spot close to where I was fishing from the bank. The lady Ranger stopped and made me move the truck to overflow parking which was 200 ft away from where I had parked. The space was empty and I have enough common sense to be able to tell if someone was going to occupy the site. Other than this the stay was outstanding and relaxing.

Park is amazing. Will go back very soon! Only complaint is the check in lady. One was very nice while the other was very rude. She could definitely use some people skills.

The host and hostess were so nice and polite. Great experience. Loved our site. Wish we could have stayed longer. Everything was nice and clean and so beautiful. Thank you! Best COE ever due to full hookup available.

Campground was great. The camp hostess that checked us in was terrible. Very unpleasant attitude when we checked in. I did not get their names so I could share it.

We’ve stayed at a couple COE & Recreation.gov campgrounds, and this has to be my favorite so far! Finding one with full hookups (p/w/s) (30 & 50amp svc) in such a beautiful location was amazing. We stayed in site 27 in our 30’ travel trailer from Saturday to Monday. They have level pads with picnic tables and fire rings. The restrooms and showers were clean and well maintained. I saw others using the laundry facilities, but didn’t adventure into them, so I can’t speak on them. The park is well maintained and located on one of the inlets from the Walter F. George reservoir (beware of gators!). Amenities include a boat ramp, fish cleaning shack (closed due to cold temps during our visit), dog park, dumpsters and dump station. I’m not sure if all of the sites are full service or not, but there definitely seemed to be plenty of availability. I look forward to returning with my family in warmer temps to try out the fishing. Overall, very happy with the experience!

Lot 27. Great view of the lake. The only issue we had was arriving after dark and having difficulty backing in because the site was at an angle. It was also pitch black. Once we got on the pad everything else went smoothly.
