First time there and it was awesome really enjoyed it we'll be back.

The campground was beautiful and clean. My site was close to the water if I wanted to launch my kayak, which was my intention when I made reservations. However, upon checking in, I learned the gates are locked from 10pm to 7am, not allowing anyone in or out during those hours. I have never been to a campground that doesnt allow entry or exit during certain times. There has always been a code provided. I had two running events in the general area one in the evening and one the following morning. There was no guarantee that I would be back before the gates closed and I needed to be out around 6 am. This restriction forced me to check out early and get a last minute hotel. Therefore, I could not launch my kayak and spend time on the lake. The restrooms (one bathhouse) were also located in the RV section and a good distance from the tent camping. They should be closer for tent campers, since tents dont have restrooms and RVs generally do.

Cute place. Water faucet at our site didn't work. Lake was pretty from afar but a little smelly up close. Campers should be aware there is an almost constant noise from the nearby Lock and Dam that carries over the lake.
