Love COE parks and this one definitely didnt disappoint. If youre looking for a lot to do outside the park, this may not be the place for you but if you love to fish, relax and enjoy nature this is the place.

It was a nice, quiet ling weekend. Something my husband and I definitely needed. Nice anniversary celebration. He enjoyed the fishing too!

Overall it was a very pleasant stay. But a couple things I didnt like was I left my senior discount card at home and the lady at the gate wouldnt accept a photo of it front and back. Whoever decided where to put the new water hydrant on our site must have never been around campers before. I had to have about 40 feet of hose reach our camper. So carry some extra water hose and your senior card if you go to Cotton Hill.

Overall a very nice facility. Restrooms need additional attention due to high occupancy rate of the campground. This is a water oriented destination where boats can be tied up along the shore near your campsite. Be careful when reserving a site because a number of sites have steeply inclined driveways and many rv's and trailers will scrape their bumpers and/or stabilizer jacks on the pavement. Deer and other animals plentiful. Large population of nesting ospreys and blue herons. (Counted five active osprey nests and three blue heron nests in March 2023.) If you have dogs, be aware of the large alligators in the area.

First time out of all the time we have been to this park and we didnt fill welcome by the host at the gate. Seem like it was a big bother for us to be there

Cotton Hill Campground is a very nice COE campground on the shores of the Walter F. George reservior. The campground is very well maintained. The bath houses / restrooms were clean and well maintained. We were fortunate to have one of the few pull through sites. The site was spacious providing good distance between you and your neighbor. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring that has a small cooking grate. Our site did not have a separate grill. We camped her in early December 2021 and we stayed on the Old Mill Rd portion of the campground. For some reason the Pine Hill section of the campground and picnic areas were closed. The check in staff was friendly, helpful and courteous. There are several nice trailed in the campground as well as a large, fenced dog park. There was also a very nice fish cleaning house. The park was incredibly quiet and peaceful at night. The lake provided ample changings including morning and evening fog and an abudance of wildlife including many water birds and white tail deer. I would definitley recommend Cotton Hill Campground and will likely return here in the future.

Wonderful campsite, large, clean, and away from neighbors. We saw deers, eagles, and other large white and grey birds which we do not know their names.
