The marina view loop had the look of it not been taken care of. The pads were overgrown with grass and weeds. I had to clear out the weeds and grass so my child could walk on the pad. It also had ant beds throughout the pad. I was bitten by ants multiple times while grilling. The attendant at the gate was very disinterested and told be not to clean the pad and it was the Corp of engineers responsible. I contacted the corps and asked if I could make it better for the next person and they said it was ok. I have stayed here in the past and this was the worst it has ever been.

A very well maintained park with excellent host. Close to our home making the drive not so much of an effort to get there. Fishing good too.

Great spot right on the lake with great view. Rained most of our time there. Site is a pull-thru. Town of Fort Gaines nearby with plenty of historic sites. We visited the New Park Cemetery and the Frontier Village. The old store in town of Fort Gaines called is Rubo's Foods.

Very clean, well kept park. Friendly staff. Great views and easy access to all the shore line. The city of Fort Gaines has some historical sites and a tour that must be pre-arranged. Close proximity to Providence Canyon.
Not all sites in the campground are easy to get in and out of. All of the site have a mostly level landing area for your RV or tent, it it the driveway/parking area that could be at a steep angle, which may lead to some challenges in entering/exiting the site or when trying to disconnect/connect to your tow vehicle. Call the park office and ask them about the site you have in mind or for their recommendation. I made that call and was able to find a flat pull through site with a great view of the lake.

First experience at COE campground and it did not disappoint. Will be coming back!
