Enjoyed my stay. The office was very helpful as it was my first time camping and they give be lots of advice.

I had to switch sites in the middle of my stay. I left my car at the old site because I was moving to the new site with the truck. I was gonna come move the car after. They call the park ranger and she’s super rude and tells me to come move the car now or she will write me a ticket. It was before the the check in time for the next guest so I’m not sure why she was so upset. The host threatened to ban me when I was leaving. Other than the host and rangers being very rude , I enjoyed the park.

Great site- friendly staff. Lack of dumpster in this part of the campground was disappointing (they used to have one here). The ant issue is pretty serious here- bring some spray or granules to keep them off your rig and eating area, there are TONS of ants here.

This campground is fairly big with a lot of campsites. Our site was #10 and it was on a steep hill and at the end was very wooded. Trying to get down our embankment to the lake to fish was almost impossible, so I wouldn't suggest this particular site if you are wanting to fish. Our site was also very close to our neighbors with little privacy. It was close to the bathrooms and they were not that great. The lights turned off while I was in the shower because they were motion sensored by the door and couldn't detect my movement in the shower area. That was a little scary trying to find the door in total unfamiliar darkness. However, being able to camp and spend time outdoors with family was worth it but we probably will try a different camp site.

The camp ground was a nice well spread out for the size, but bath house on our site area ( 10 ) didn't have a shower. You could see the water (some ) and walk down to it. It was steep going down and couldn't fish there unless you was motivated. Once camper was set up the hill where you park is kind of steep also. I believe this would be a great camping spot once the leaves was off trees. You would be able to see a good distance both directions. They also make you pay to use the beach area ( 5 dollars a vehicle ) which was strange to me! First time I've encountered this, most places I've been to would allow beach access. Over all nice and private for site 10. Will not go here again unless its fall, winter, or spring. Hope this helps

Site 10: High enough to have a breeze all afternoon. Filtered view of the lake.Plenty of shade. Peaceful day enjoying getting away.
