The people was friendly BUT the area was terrible, uncomfortable, and the water didn't work even though that was apart of why I paid the 30 a night.

I grew up in the Canton area and I grew up enjoying the facilities at Sweetwater back when the campground with its boat ramp was open year round(closed only when the lake flooded). I dont understand why this campground and all others(save McKinney) on Allatoona Lake are closed from just after Labor Day until just before Memorial Day!The staff members at the campground are great and very helpful. I just wish the Army Corps would just go back to a lot fewer rules and give the people(the real owners) a little more breathing room.

The campground is well maintained. The campsites are clean and the restrooms are also kept clean.
The gate attendants are very friendly and helpful.
Planning to be back soon!

The campground sites were the worst I have ever seen. Trash, not blown out, asphalt broken up in site. bathroom dirty, Just not very lkgood. A cleaning person sit in his truck one morning and did not even go in. Not sure what they were doing but it certainly was not cleaning. I honestly think they were napping. I was just disappointed in the condition of the campground.
