Nice sites. Level and shaded. We were on an electric only site with our 38 ft. 5th wheel. The bathroom closest to us was out of service but the next one down was heated (it was cold out) and clean. Very nice loop to walk around and a reasonable distance to the highway. We stayed one night.

Very nice campground for a quick overnight. Shaded spot, electric. The bath house was clean and heated. Beautiful fall colors while we were there. Site was level and there was plenty of room for us to unhook. We were there in a 38 ft. 5th wheel.

As in the past Stony Fork campground is very nice. The only thing was no heat in the bathrooms. I was thinking in the past like at the closed Grindstone campground had some heat.

We enjoyed our one night stay here. It was quiet and friendly and has a great place to hike and walk the dog. Mary, the host, was awesome and filled us in on tons of information. I highly recommend this camp ground!

Very nice with great host. Really wish USDF would get Grindstone back open.

This park has a cozy, woodsy feel that we loved. The sites are large and spaced far enough apart that you can't really see your neighbors. It was the perfect rustic reset we needed for a week away. The sites are 30 amp electric only, and only a small number of sites have water. There are no sewer connections in the park but there is a dump station across the street from the park. However, we opted to not use it because our motorhome would have scraped on the road when we pulled out, as many others have obviously done. Our site did not have a water connection but there was a community spigot about 30' away. The park is woodsy, quiet, serene, and very pretty with a creek running through it. There is a one mile loop nature trail that we really enjoyed. It connects to the Seven Sisters trail if you want a longer hike. The park staff was friendly and helpful. Only about half of the park's sites are reservable with the other half being first-come-first-serve, most of which were empty most of the time we were there. We enjoyed the quiet solitude of this park and would gladly stay here again.

Arrival was challenging due to the lack of signage - either covered by tree branches or non-existent. No where does it say there's a campground, just bird watching. It is a beautiful park with all sites in deep shade. Interior roads are narrow but well maintained. We were able to get level on nice asphalt pad with good size grass space with picnic table, fire ring and lantern hook. Shower and restroom buildings clean. Sites are 30 amp only with some spigots throughout for filling containers. Water for filling your rig is available across the highway with the dump station. This is a very narrow space! While the park fits big rigs, it is not big rig friendly per se. There is no place to unhook a toad so either do it before you arrive or plan to block the interior road. There are no paid staff here, no office. Volunteer hosts are helpful and are easy to find.

I wish I had known going in we wouldn't have a water hookup. I have never encountered a campsite with 30A electric and no water. Other than that, it was a nice site. It was quiet and private.
