We overnighted here on our way to Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The campground is nice, and we enjoyed having electric & water. The mens room sink ran very slowly. Shower was nice and bathroom clean. The dump station is across the road from the entrance, and the rinse hose is not accessible from the only remaining spot you can dump. It used to be a two way dump station.

I loved it!!! The park was beautiful!!! The camp hosts, were AMAZING!!! Super nice, so friendly to all of us and my grandkids. The interaction with us was above and beyond!!! Rodger, Kim and Joe made our stay one of the best!! Checking on us, showing us around, telling us about the park and it's history. No host ever has done that. Bathrooms was always clean and ready to go. Thank you Kim and Joe and a HUGE thank u to Rodger for making us feel welcomed!!! Stony Fork is so lucky to have yall as host!!! My grandson Dakota and his friend Avery that stayed with me, now love camping at Stony Fork just because of Rodger, Kim and Joe. Thank yall for everything yall done!!!

One of the best USDA/NF campgrounds in the US. Exception: The pathetic dump station, pitiful design. A mix of no hookups, electric only, or electric/water. Some reservable, some first come, nice mix. Long sites, well spaced, private. Excellent songbird population in spring, must be a bottleneck for migration. Exceptional numbers all day.

A great place to get away and enjoy a little hiking and a lot of relaxing. Spacious sites, some with electric and some with electric and water. Check website. No thrills or frills, but very relaxing and clean.Added to our favorites list

Nice well kept quiet campground. Hosts were very friendly and helpful . Nice shaded sites. If you hike the campground trail look for the "Bear' in the tree. The only con I have was with the dump station, only one dump location and water was not nearby. I would/will go back.

Site 43. This campground can be described as quiet and secluded. The sites are spaced out and a lot of foliage between each. We even couldn't see our neighbors. The hosts were friendly. The bathhouse we were across the street from was a little old. Not much entertainment or activities for kids as you might see at other places.

A LOT of water leaks ,electric problems at sites, And no one to fix them.

Heavily wooded campground with a creek meandering through it. The sites closest to water might be prone to flooding. There are few level places inside the park to unhook a toad. Most of the sites do not appear to be level. Our site had electricity and water. The 30A pedestal was about 13 feet to the rear of the pad. All of this is common in older parks though. There are no stores nearby (that we found, anyway) so bring everything you might need. Wytheville is about a 20 minute drive away.

This was a lovely campground with all types of site - no utilities, water, and water & electricity. Roads were very good and easy to travel with a trailer. Great looking grass. Has an area that is in a flood area so have to be aware of weather forecast. We were there when rained heavily and water went over low water bridges. Hosts were out checking on conditions overnight and early the next morning. Our campsite had no problems. Loved the campground.
