Great place to take the family. The host is a great guy, he treats people like they're friends and not strangers.

Loved the location of site #21, close enough to the restrooms, shower, trash can, and the hiking trail. It rained on our last day there but the site had good drainage so we didn't have to deal with water paddles.

Site 35 was double wide and sunny. Very helpful on cold morning in the high 30s to low 40s. Some great hiking trails in the area. We especially liked Crystal Springs Recreation Area. Easy access to Wytheville which had some interesting shops and museums.

Truly one of the nicest National Forest campgrounds that we’ve stayed at!! Very nice, large, hidden sites on even asphalt!

I stop here every time I visit family in VA and was lucky to get my favorite campsite this visit. Very pretty and pleasant campground with lots of privacy between sites. The creek that flows through is beautiful. Blackberry bushes were in bloom and the aroma was wonderful! The loop and the nature trail are nice for walking my dogs. I always enjoy my visits to Stony Fork.

Beautiful campsites in a nice rural setting. We saw some amazing stars at night. The weather was cool for this time of year, we even slept with the windows open one night.Nice central location for hiking. We did some fantastic hiking within a 3 0 minute drive of the campsite. The host, Roger, was fantastic and made us feel very welcome. The restrooms and the sites in general were extremely clean and well stocked. We will be back!

Wonderful campground, frustrating that we didn't know until we arrived that the electricity was out and no attempt was made to contact us in advance so we could make arrangements or move us to another site (was told it was full which we do understand, but still frustrating). Campsite table is also very far back from fire ring with no way to move it closer. Would have been helpful to know ahead of time so we could prepare accordingly.

This campground is a remote location but still about 10-15 miles from Wytheville [WITH-ville], population ~8k. :) There are only 40 some sites here on 1 loop. The bath houses were old but very well maintained. There are 2 trails accessed from the campground; a 1 mile nature trail & a 15 mile trail. The 15er, Seven Sisters, per AllTrails is strenuous. The sites are well spaced & very few have a view of another site. We were here for 5 nights & found the place to be absolutely delightful.
