Nice spacious, private spots. Beautiful view. The bathhouses were pretty clean.

If you want to hang out in a fairly mature forest and hear only the sounds of nature (plus maybe a bit of distant traffic), this is a great spot for it. My camp site was deep enough that I felt like I had my very own little forest hideaway and plenty wide enough for the dogs and I to enjoy sitting outside. It was super quiet and peaceful during the week. The campground loop seems fairly long for the number of campsites on it, but you'll need to walk it several times to close that exercise ring :-) Thankfully it's all shady and lovely and has some gentle ups and downs. If nature trails are more your thing, there's one off the loop, but I didn't try it. The bathhouses are fairly rustic but seemed clean enough. One tip: when you're leaving the campground, don't go directly across the street to access the dump station, as that's the exit. Turn right and you'll see the dump station entrance a bit further down. Enter there so that you'll be lined up the right way to access the sewer outlet.

Im going to say excellent, although I didnt get to use my reservation due to travel time being late.I did stay at Doughton campground and liked it very much. Im sure Stony Fork would have been just as great, safe, clean and most of all, a great experience!

Loved the campground and all the birds and the noice in the evening from the frogs. Hadno cell phone but my husband was on the internet. It was near enough to the show we attended,so, it was a great place to be.

We had a great experience at Stony Fork! The sites are big, roomy, shaded, and have asphalt parking. We were at site #48, super close to a bathhouse which was clean each time we went in. Showers are hot but the push button makes it kind of difficult to wash your hair. The campground was very quiet despite the number of campers there. The 1 mile trail through the campground was very nice, simple enough my 3 year old hiked the entire way. Crystal Springs Recreation Area is about 15 mins from the campground and was not a disappointment. It was great for a picnic and hiking! Also, we have full cell service (Verizon) while at the campground. I highly recommend Stony Fork and cant wait to plan our next trip!
